Marvel Comics for iPad Might Just Revolutionize Comics

I'll be honest; I've never really been into comics. So when I heard that Marvel was releasing a comic reader on the iPad day one, I wasn't too terribly exciting. Now, though, I've done a one-eighty.

This app lets you view comics in an unprecedented way. First, it takes advantage of the iPad's big screen and gesture controls. Flipping through the full-page comic is easy.

But Marvel takes it a step farther, adding dynamic animation so you can flip through comics a frame at a time. It's like watching a mini motion-graphic novel with each pane, but it allows the artwork of the original comic to stand alone and be appreciated.

In short, I'll never want to look at a comic any other way again.
