Melon Golf: Cute and Creepy in that Tim-Burton-esque way.

Melon_Header
Melon_Icon_SmallI'm not a big fan of golf games on the iPhone. When Melon Golf came my way, I almost dismissed it. But when I sat down to play, I realized something; this isn't golf at all.

Instead we get an incredibly designed game built around a world straight out of a Tim Burton movie or 1920's German expressionist film (hey, aren't those two kind of the same thing?).

This is one of the best designed simple games I've seen in a long while. From the graphics to the physics engine to the smaller touches and the sound, this game is all about creating a very simple and fun experience, and by adding in score-tracking that keeps tabs on both your number of strokes AND the amount of time it takes to complete a course, the developers have pushed this one into the realm of true addictiveness. And for only $0.99, it's a real steal.

I've gotten pretty damn good at completing holes efficiently. Now if only I could collect all the stars and unlock the "Nightmare" holes, I'd be set.

I purchased this game a few weeks ago and I absolutely love it. If you own an iPhone you owe it to yourself to buy it.
Super fun, super addictive and I love the sounds.
This is easily my favorite App Store purchase and I love it so much that I moved it to my first page.... a real honour.
Pick it up, you won't be sorry.
My only complaint is that I want more levels.... it is that fun.
