C64 - Why Apple Why? It's so BASIC!

So when Manomio released C64 on the iTunes App store I immediately downloaded it. The $4.99 price tag didn't bother me too much, because, you know, it's a lot cheaper than a 1541 Disk Drive. The first thing I noticed was that the emulator was great, but the games included were less than stellar. I mean Jupiter Lander was AWESOME back in 1982, but I was hoping for some Karateka or Bruce Lee.

Also, why isn't BASIC enabled? Why? Well, it was. You simply hit "RESET" while playing a game and BOOM, you see the Commodore 64 startup screen anyone over 35 grew up with. That was enough for Apple to pull it off the iTunes App store, which is unfortunate. I don't see people ripping the DRM off songs or Apps with BASIC code. I mean what gives? Manomio has since totally disabled BASIC and has re-submitted to the iTunes store, so hopefully we'll see it re-appear soon.
So how is C64 you ask? The controls are great, the emulation is great but the included games are blah. I hoping that Manomio in the future will bundle this app with some better titles. I know they will offering in-app purchasing. I'm just hoping it's on the 99¢ level and not any higher.
Hopefully Apple will get their you-know-what together and get this app back in the store, and Manomio will bundle some better games. If these two things come into fruition, C64 will be a must have App.
