Enigmo - A 99¢ Riddler.

engimo_hdrengimo_icon1Enigmo by Pangea Software is a puzzle game in which you use puzzle pieces to control the flow of liquids. You must divert the liquid (water, oil, or lava) from the source dropper to the indicated ending location. The drops will bounce around the play area. You are provided with different puzzle pieces (sliders, bumpers, accelerators, etc) to use to control the flow of the liquid.

The object is to utilize these pieces to achieve the goal of effectively directing the flow of the liquid to the desired ending location. The level is complete, and points awarded, once the required number of liquid drops have been collected.

Go with the flow. Go with the flow.

One complication you should be aware of during gameplay, you must collect the drops in the containers in a timely fashion. If the drops aren’t being directed into the container fast enough the drops already accumulated in the container will begin to evaporate!

The games comes with 50 levels of game play, with more available for download. Bonus points are awarded based on how fast you are able to accomplish the goal for each level. The faster you complete the level, the more bonus points you earn.

This games has won several awards for best puzzle game, including “Best iPhone Game” at Apple’s WWDC ’08.

This is an excellent game for those who enjoy sitting quietly, staring at a problem while thinking about how to solve it, without necessarily moving or doing anything demonstrative at all times. It is sure to provide hours of enjoyment for the user who is interested in physics-based puzzle games, though it will prove to be a disappointment for users who prefer fast-paced, action oriented games.

All in all, worth the 99-cent price tag, in my opinion. This is one game I will pull out in between other games for a bit of puzzlement.
