Steve Jobs Apple Timeline

Hi, all.   In doing some research today, I ran across this story from the New York Times tracing Apple's rise, fall, re-rise etc. based on the life and times of one Mr. Steve Jobs.  Though we are primarily an iPhone review (and news) site, I know a lot of our readers are interested or concerned about the current questions swirling around Steve Jobs's health and Apple's future in general.

For those of you (including me, to some extent) ignorant of the history of Apple, this is a wildly interesting little article...not just about the history of the company, but about the progression of personal computing, in general.  I remember when I was a kid, our computer teacher (I'm a young'n) introduced us to a brand new feature (I think) on our three new Macintosh computers: Quicktime.  I saw a man on camera talking to us, introducing the technology.  It was stuttery, pixellated, and almost unwatchable, but I was amazed.  This made Oregon Trail on our Apple IIs look like the archaic technology it was quickly becoming.

Anyway, I know it's a bit off topic for our site, but I thought I'd share.
