Stop...Hammer Time: Stalking the good MC 24/7

My wardrobe consists of nothing but gold chains and hot-pants.  Which explains why I was so excited to find out that my hero, MC Hammer, had released his very own app.  And what does it do?  It updates you, in real time, on all things Hammer. The options are simple.  Once you get past the retro-cool spinning cassette tape page, you are taken to a home screen with a full-screen picture of the Hip-Hop master himself.

hammer2Across the bottom of the page, you can choose to look at news, events, media, or twitter.  Each of these updates to let you know if you've missed anything since your last visit.

News is exactly what it sounds like...news about all things Hammer.  Events lets you know where you can catch the MC live, and Media gives you direct access to all the classic hammer favorite music videos including "Pray" and the immortal classic "U Can't Touch This."

But the real reason to have this is to get access to Hammer's twitter page.  Find out where he is and what he is thinking about TWENTY-FOUR HOURS A DAY, SEVEN DAYS A WEEK!  Now, when you get that pang in your stomach like you are too far away from your favorite pop icon, you can sign on and find out what he is up to and not feel sad anymore.

I think they can push this further.  I want a GPS link that tells me where Hammer is, all the time.  I want email reminders when he's heading to my city.  And I want the man to wear a camera on his head so I can see a live stream of what he sees...every moment of every day.

But I guess even Hammers need privacy sometimes.  For now, I will enjoy this (free) application from Infomedia, and dream of the day when I can meet my MC face to face.

You can download Hammer Time HERE.
