Mystery Mania: Halloween fun for the robot-loving puzzle-solver in all of us.

It's that time of year again, so let's celebrate with an application that is creepy fun for the whole family.

Halloween is my favorite holiday, hands-down. I'm a horror-movie fanatic and love to be scared (and to scare others). And while the iTunes store keeps most of the hardcore horror off its virtual shelves, there are a few fun and creepy Halloween apps out there.

One of those is Mystery Mania, a very cute, nicely designed and simple puzzle game for the iPhone. Now, it's important to note that these puzzles are super-simple, for the most part, so if you're a hardcore gamer you'll breeze through this. Me, though, I'm more about the story, design, and fun gameplay, so this one is perfect for me.

I'd love to see a few sequels to this one. In general, there's not too much bad I can say about it. Sure, some of the in-puzzle animations are a little lengthy and it would be nice to be able to skip them, but it's a minor annoyance that is overpowered by good gameplay and some fun cut scenes.
