HP iPrint Photo: No wires, ma!

hp_iprint_hdr

hp_iprint_icon_smallSometimes, you download an app or a particular piece of software that promises to do all these great things and then you spend 15-20 minutes setting things up, typing in IP's, configuring routers or rebooting your iPhone.

Your wife wants to know what you are doing in the basement, what is taking so long and what kind of porn you're watching.

hp_iprint_1 Printing from your phone is an amazing step forward.

It can be frustrating.

But, every now then a program comes along that works exactly as advertised with no hassles. HP iPrint Photo, by Hewlett Packard, is that application.

The iPhone/iPod Touch HP iPrint Photo app will find an HP printer on your wireless network and allow you to print pictures from your iPhone camera roll.

Great idea, huh? I thought so too.

I had no installation headaches. I just downloaded the program and hit "print". It worked with zero setup. ZERO!

The print quality is nice (I was surprised, coming from a 2.0 megapixel device) and it buffers to the printer rather quick.

hp_iprint_2 All available printers are conveniently listed.

I know, I always gripe about something. So, here it is: you can only print from your camera roll. I'm hoping that in future updates you'll be able to print from Mail, iCal and Safari. Please, Hewlett Packard? Please?

It's free, so grab it if you have an HP printer.  You won't be disappointed.

Hewlett Packard has done a great job with this app. This is one of my favorite utility apps to date.
