italk_recorder_icon_small This has got to be one of my favorite applications for the iPhone.

There are a TON of voice recorder apps on the iTunes store, but this one has a permanent position on my home screen.

On launching the application you have three different recording options, Good, Better and Best. You then name your file and press record, it’s as simple as that. The recording quality is amazing, considering this is a phone.

Once you have recorded your audio, you can copy it to your computer via Wi-Fi using Griffin’s iTalk Sync. The file format is a standard 44.1kHz aiff. It’s that simple, and once again I’ll stress that the sound quality is amazing. I’ve used this as a quick way to record scratch tracks for edit sessions and it works flawlessly.

One feature lacking, that I would love to see in future versions, is the ability to e-mail your recordings. I’m sure this will be added in the future.
