The name of the app I’m reviewing today is Plants vs. Zombies. Really, I should jut stop right there. That is maybe the coolest name in the history of cool names.

EA does a great job porting over these old board games, and while I am not a huge fan of Clue or Monopoly, I was always a big Connect 4 player. I liked the quick gameplay, the simple rules, and the satisfying clink of dropping the pegs.

When the iPhone first hit the streets, it seemed like there was an awesome free game coming out every week. These days, though, it’s hard to find these gems buried under the clutter of the iTunes store. In fact, I’d almost given up hope.

I almost never review updates to games or apps in general. With so many apps coming out every day, it seems silly to continue looking backward and devoting time to games and utilities that already had their moment to shine.

Remember the olden days when we dreamed that one day we’d just have to say something to our computers and they would type it all out for us? Then remember the early days of dictation software when there were hilarious typos galore? Well, Dragon Dictation for the iPhone brings us closer to that promised future.

I was never a board game fanatic as a kid. I didn’t really take to Candyland, Mouse Trap was a total mystery, and Monopoly was way too much work to be worth it. Battleship, though, always rung my bell, and now I have a chance to carry the game around with me.
