American Beauty Makes Me Proud to be a Pervert!

We’re not supposed to review these types of applications. The slew of bikini apps on the iTunes store is a phenomenon that everyone is aware of but very few, especially professional reviewers, talk about.

We don’t want to offend anyone, especially our female readers. That’s totally legitimate. But let’s face it…iPhone and iTouch users are a tech savvy bunch, and a lot of them (us) get our sanity-keeping dose of eye candy from salacious images via computer-oriented devices (feel free to read between the lines here). And as a geek, it’s my duty, when I come across a good source of wholesome T&A, to point it out to the masses, and American Beauty is that kind of app.

Let’s face it, ladies. If every man who gets excited looking at some cleavage is a perverted sack of unfeeling hormones, the entire race is screwed, anyway. So let’s just say it: Hot women are fun to look at.

Okay, enough of the quasi-unnecessary preamble. This one was worth mentioning in a sea of absolute crap–a tastefully done app with the end-user in mind.

American Beauty is hands-down the most high-quality and largest collection of scantily clad women we’ve found on the iTunes store. With a great user interface and integration of video and slideshow features, it’s $0.99 well spent.

In the end, I have only two real complaints. First, I would like this one to incorporate more video. That being said, the video that is there is excellent and I fully expect that future versions will build on this solid base.

Second, I wish there were more “alternative” girls on the app. I know, Suicide Girls seems to have the market cornered on gothic, tattooed and pierced young ladies, but it’s a shame–and SG has been going downhill lately.

Where am I going to find that next crazy kinky girl in mismatched tube socks and a corset?

For now, though, this one wraps its eye-candy in a beautiful interface and provides a lot of great features. I look forward to future updates.
