G-Map Update – Things are coming down the road.

GMAPUP_HDRGMAPUP_ICNWe were all anticipating the G-Map features illustrated by TapCritic’s demo unit to be immediately available with the iPhone 3.0 software release. And many of those features did show themselves immediately with the G-Map update.  We love the voice guidance and the turn by turn navigation. But what happened to the landscape mode? Spoken street names?

Well, they are coming. I’ve recently spoke to the developer of G-Map, who PROMISED the features showed in the demo are just around the corner. Check out the video below for more details and a chance to win a G-Map West code!

G-Map still kills AT&T’s Navigator and doesn’t carry a monthly fee. X-Road gives you free updates and upgrades and they are working non-stop to bring out new features.

That’s why G-Map is one of my favorite apps.

You can buy G-Map East HERE and G-Map West HERE.
