JellyCar

I’ve been hooked on video games ever since Santa gave us Pong for Christmas.
I’m showing my age.
JellyCar has to be one of the most creative games for the iPhone.
It sort of reminds me of LocoRoco for the PSP, except it’s free! [And for a device you actually use! -ed.]
It’s a pretty simple concept: you navigate your car to the finish line. Except, as the name of the game implies, your car is jelly, baby!
Navigation is pretty straight forward. You touch the right of the screen to go forward and the left of the screen to go into reverse. Rotation of the iPhone helps your car roll. This is accomplished by using the iPhone’s accelerometer. It’s probably one of the first iPhone games that just seems to fit the whole accelerometer design idea, versus making it feel gimmicky.
The music is fun, the controls are fun and the game is fun. Did I mention it’s free?

This game looks amazing and the best part is that it’s free. I’m definitely trying this.
